How it works
Where the prices come from
Once a day, our tracker reads the public price of each mattress on the brand's own website. We track the Queen size, the most popular one, so every price is comparable. We follow each site's robots.txt rules and load each store only once a day.
How we decide if a sale is real
Most mattress brands advertise a sale nearly all year, so a “was” price tells you very little. We compare today's price with the mattress's usual price, which is the middle of all the prices we saw in the last 90 days.
- Lowest price in 90 days: today's price matches the 90-day low and is at least 5% under the usual price.
- Below its usual price: at least 5% under the usual price.
- Usual price: within a few percent of the usual price. The “sale” is the everyday price.
- Above its usual price: at least 3% over the usual price. Waiting is likely to pay off.
We need about two weeks of prices before we give a verdict.
Star ratings
Anyone can give a mattress 1 to 5 stars, without an account. Each browser gets one rating per mattress and can change it later. We limit how many ratings can come from one connection, and we never store IP addresses in a readable form. Ratings come from site visitors, so they aren't verified purchases.
Brand logos and photos
Brand names, logos, and product photos belong to their owners. We show them only to identify each mattress. If you represent a brand and want yours changed or removed, contact us.
How we make money
Some links to brands may be affiliate links. If you buy through one, the brand may pay us a commission. That never changes our prices, our verdicts, or which mattresses we track.
For brands and site owners
Our tracker identifies itself as GetMattressDealsBot. If you'd like us to change how often we check your site, or to correct a price, contact us at hello@getmattressdeals.com.
